Jonathan Ferrar's Biography
Jonathan Ferrar is a respected consultant, speaker, author and business advisor in HR strategy, workforce analytics, and the Future of Work. He is based in the UK and advises clients globally.
He is the co-founder and chief executive officer of the analytics networking, learning and consulting company Insight222 Limited – a company that grew to over 50 multinational clients within its first two years of operation.
In addition, he is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development serving over 150,000 human resources professionals globally and a board advisor to the people analytics company TrustSphere.
Jonathan was listed as one of the 2019 Top 100 HR Tech Influencers by Human Resources Executive, one of the global Top HR Analytics Influencers on LinkedIn and one of the 20 Experts in People Analytics by Sage People; just three of the accolades he's received in recent years. He is the co-author of the workforce analytics book “The Power of People: Learn How Successful Organizations Use Workforce Analytics To Improve Business Performance” (Pearson FT Press, 2017).
Jonathan worked for over 25 years in corporate business and for eleven of those years in executive and VP roles at IBM. He has led global teams, held P&L responsibility, managed multi-$100Ms budgets and advised Chief HR Officers at some of the world's most highly regarded companies. After working and living in New York for almost seven years, Jonathan returned to the UK in late 2016 to be closer to his family and to set up Insight222 Limited. He operates his board advisory work and speaking engagements through Ochre Rock Limited.
He holds degrees from the University of Cambridge, UK and a Diploma in Human Resources Management from Kingston Business School, UK. He is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.
Jonathan is a keen tennis player and enthusiast. He is also an avid landscape photographer with the distinction of a Licentiateship of The Royal Photographic Society. On his business travels he is often found with his camera in hand.
